Autumnby h2Comment: are those reflections in the background? I like the mysteriousness of the background, and the way your flower is resting his weight on his chin. 7 |

Gaspésieby BruBComment: I like how the rocks create textural interest without asserting themselves as a subject, making this a subjectless photo, making this profound and able to lose the viewer within itself. 7 |

Joy Luck Clubby whiteroomComment: Good triangular composition. Funny, there's so much talk of rule-of-thirds but hardly anyone mentions triangles. Great kids with wonderfully contrasting expressions. The two become so much more than the sum of their parts. I love how the "somber" one is so clearly repressing a laugh, or at least a smile. I'll start this at 8. |

Sby Sunshine86Comment: fascinating mysterious composition. The S-curve is the most beautiful of lines. It is constantly suggested in this photo without definitively materializing. This is profound on a purely visual level. |

Threeby SimonjwComment: This is fun in a CD cover kind of way. The processing is a bit too pat for my taste. 6 |

Lil' Cowgirlby -Bec-Comment: Too much space on the right. Forget the rule of thirds! Just do what looks right. I like the minimal use of context to show she's a cowgirl. 6 |

Weatheredby BudComment: I like the darkness that everyone else is complaining to you about. I think it sets a somber mood, appropriate to your subject. It's also pleasant to look at, more soothing than high contrast. 7 |
