Howling At the Moonby yetiComment by roz: spose the resulting karma for being so remiss is that you've become a werewolf? .. as opposed to a yeti ?!!
great shot you've taken ... excellent composition with those branches just about reaching up towards the moon .. that moon is excellent ... |

Howling At the Moonby yetiComment by MelonMusketeer: We don't get many bare trees like that in this area. They make good props for this kind of shot.
I try to do my moon shots about 15 to 30 minutes before sunset when it is still light outside. By underexposing the ground, you can get the same effect and retain the detail in the features on the moon. That way the daylight balances the bright level of the moon, and the moon will have detail. It isn't always possible, but it works well when you have the opportunity to get the capture in that time frame.
The deep blue in the sky in this image is very nice! |

Howling At the Moonby yetiComment by SandyP: I think its very much in focus. I love that midnight blue sky. I love moon shots. Love them. They make any photo awesome :) I use my 70-300 zoom lens and you can almost see plants growing on the moon :)

Howling At the Moonby yetiComment by Bruce_the_Robert: Nice shot, I like the dark tree limbs against the dark sky; I've always had trouble when the moon is full and I want something other than it included in the shot (it's always too bright given whatever elswe I want - stars, tress, clouds). |
