Nice shot, a touch sharper focus would make this an AWESOME beauty.

Nice capture!!! A tad more dof on the tip of the grass blade would be cool, but that's me nit picking. Nicely done exposing the snow too.

Much thanks to the encouraging souls who like my photograph. It grieves me that there are not more like sherpet, macrothing, ubique, britteyboo, JPR, RKT (who added this to favorites), and any and all who disagree with my 5.241.

Comment by ubique:
Effective use of depth of field for two purposes. First, to isolate an essential aspect of the subject. Second, to establish a contextual mood that complements the statement you're making about that subject. A very nice, sophisticated work. Hope it doesn't get overlooked in favour of the merely pretty. 8.

Comment by macrothing:
6 - Nice angle. Criticism; toning 'works', but perhaps a variation to give it more 'depth'/'feel', somehow, may have made this even better. Difficult, but would like to see a little more texture on the wood/twine/etc. Perhaps a slight variation in crop &/or framing, depending what you had to work with, not sure.
