The Early Birdby jitamsComment: Wow! What a spectacular moment. One in a million to get that opened beak on CCD.The freeform acrobatics add real vibrancy to this image. The birds overlap a touch, but then I won't ask you to reshoot another 1000 frames for punishment either. The brilliant blue and white outstetched wings exemplify freedom. Should be framed on my wall as well as yours. Wonderful. |

Cute as a Bugs Earby SonifoComment: This is a technically incredible shot from the standpoint of the serious DOF. The tones are perfect and certainly speak well in contrast to the background. The nose tip runs into the cheekline to the diappointment of ultra-perfectionists. But this is real life not a statue. So I like it even with the cute chin dribble. I love the wavy hairdo and those ever so delicate highlights. A truly professional job. |

Busy Beeby HoogieComment: Sweet success for this winning photo. Perfect bug and bud focus. The background is blurred well with no annoying harsh highlights. Two basic colors tightens up the theme of your image and adds well to the bright mood of your shot. A first class macro shot that adds real pizzaz to those typical static flower shots. So when do you start on the payroll for National Geographic? |

Squared Awayby RiderGalComment: A good rural flavoured shot with all of the necessary elements tucked beautifully in a tight frame. The gentle grey tones broken up by the foreground bush are great. Character that you can sink your teeth into in this image. The pitch black has a real visual punch. Some folks may banter for a touch of more elbow room around the window. A minor personal quibble. A good solid image. |

Where square people live.by Harz_JoergComment: A catchy title for a good image. Masterful rendition of tonal range. Detail in the shadows where it counts. Lively highlights without the glare. Lovely gentle grays in the sky. I really like the trunk squiggle beneath the big square. It breaks up the vertical lines very nicely. Superior talent in the B&W dept is evident. |

A Square Mealby GolferDDSComment: Boy this was certainly a popular theme. First of all I must say that your choice of color scheme is premium. The tender blues and burgundy with that kiss of yellow is very comfortable on the peepers. The homey wood table is also a lovely touch. There are some minor issues to quibble over such as hot highlights on the tea packages and blue serving dish. But nothing to fret over. I also like the nice glow on the silver utensils. Often they drown away in gray shadows. A pleasing image. |

Squarewayby r_sandlerComment: Hot highlights, cor fringing on the bars and not total depth of field may tick a few marks off from the snobbish crowd. But hey I like the idea of climbing into heaven light myself with some guardian rainbow splashes. I also like the warm splash of sunlight contrasting with the subtle bluish tinge. And the vertical and horizontal lines are perfectly level or perpendicular, a well done feat of camera position. The high key light atmosphere of this image is charming. Warms my techno age heart. Good go! |

Something Too Rareby togtogComment: Well done intellectual comment. I should give you a 10 just for that (haha). The spanky colors certainly attract lots of attention. But my fav visual element is the really cool color contamination among the shadows from multiple lights. The subtle color interplay among reflections form the silver part and green casts from the upper lid are simply mahvelous my dear. Good tight composition and suitable DOF. Superior creative input deserves much applause. Great show! |

Technology for squaresby MarklaneComment: I like the random splash of CD's. The odd brightish highlight may offend those purist nitpickers but not me. Some of the metal parts of the CD's have really cool colour tints, which I personally would like to view more of. Like the funky color thing. As a wee suggestion I find that reds are real eye grabbers and I tend to use them sparingly as accents in a composition. Hence that burgundy square in the top right is hauling my attention more so into that corner. Otherwise a reasonably good image. |
