A bold silhouette image with beautiful subtle hues in the sky contrasting with a strong line study and blazing sign. The sun, the red sign and the figure all compete for my attention visually. Any one of those powerful elements in combination with just the sky would be a winning combo in my opinion. Such as the figure, three tiers of stairs and the sky. The scribble of treeline along the bottom is a perfect compositional base. A great idea that should earn you many other compliments. Good luck.

Great shot. Technical excellence and a most creative concept. Nice diffuse lighting on the peas. And an attractive strong catchlight in the eye. A good graphic composition.

Tons of detail happening here. Nice gentle movement in the stream. Pattern and texture in the branches and roots. Great character in the wheel. Topped by the chill of snow and deep blue to tie the message altogether. Some folks may find the blue tone a bit heavyhanded. But I think that it does a very effective job here. For even more visual punch I would have zeroed in on just a couple of those really attractive elements. Say, a portion of the wheel with the stream and rocks, for example. I would like to have a little more stream in the photo in the foreground just so the hub of the wheel would not be smack dab on the horizontal centerline of the image area. Those are just minor suggestions. A very expressive image.

A powerful landscape image. Real heavy on the blue tones in the sky. But I think that adds to the vibrant strength of the heavens portrayed. The hint of detail in the foreground definitely adds to the photo compared to a black silhouette that would be too stark and boring in my opinion. The blades are a tad close to the center for the rule of thirds purists who would demand more sky and less earth. But this is real life on the wing. And I think you have a done a marvelous job both technically and aesthetically.

After 100 dribbly drops and chess DPC'ers still can never get enough. Interesting background and totally awesome checkerboard top droplet. Technically up to snuff in all departments. I also like the starburst kiss near the drop base as an added visual interest. I would ignore the few whiny remarks about certain squares not being more white. It's a terrrific image that fits the challenge doubley well.

An easy on the eyes image thanks to the warm wood tones. The metal strings contrast nicely to the dark hollow. Although this is obviously a study in detail I would like to see a strummin' ghost pinky or two for human/ theme interest. But that would plunge your score to "3" here instead of the big 7.2 you are likely to nab. I like the different assymetrical composition of curves versus lines & rectangles. Simply beautiful.

You must be commended for the excellent DOF. I love the subtle simple bluesy tones of this image. The chrome is delicious. The sky compliments your image well. The composition is dramatic and obviously a matter of individual taste. My choice for included car parts would be slightly different than yours. What attracts me to this image specifically is the repetition of circles. Thus I would have cropped even closer to include the headlights and hood ornament ( perhaps getting a little lower so that the hood ornament is in the sky and not clashing with the windshield ). The reflections, handles tight against image edge, wheel hub and passenger side windows would be excluded. But that is just me. The grass in shadow and reflections add lots of impact to your image. This is a good photo that packs a solid punch.

Brilliant unusual color combination. The texture of the leaves is very attractive. I find the highlights a tad glarey ( small nitpick). Lots of bite on the edge of all blossum bits, great. Nice high key border that accents the image well. Good job.

Great DOF for this shot. Nice sharply focused whiskers and fur. The alluring green eye and orangish nose are lovely accents to the earth tones. Personal wee quibble would be a desire to have a touch more space around the nose tip. Purr-fect exposure. Great photo.

An elegant well composed photo. The white petal exposure and color are perfect. The border is well done. I like the reflected flowers and the feeling of a suspended in mid air vase. The gentle lightingon the vase is flattering to the delicate tones. Good job.
