this is a funny pic. i think that the main reason it got such a poor score is that it doesnt look like much effort was put into it. the lighting looks like on camera flash , the setting and background look like no effort were put in . the clothes on the waldo, same. if you had a good idea, you still have to put some effort into your presentation to get a better score.

this is a clever idea. i think you might have had more of an impact if you had made it a little less hard to notice.

technicals are good. the lighting is good. as noted the picture has a tilt to it.

thanks for the critique, John. the 'dots' are fine water droplets. i believe a mister is too fine a spray, now.

secondly, i will try the suggestion re the light. i did have some takes with the lightsource opposite the bulb that were smoother, but none of those had as pleasing a composition as this one.
