7 - Perhaps would have been better with more room on the leftinstead of the right of the photo

Great idea ... perhaps would have been better if it was a little more in focus ... with perhaps more contrast to make them stand out?

A Light On White

Received a few questions as to how I did this one. First of all the light bulb is ON and is connected to wires. If you look closely at the base you can see a very small fine silver wire wrapped around the last thread ... this is the neutral wire. The other wire is soldered to the very tip of the base (you can see the little bump) .. this is the live wire.

After attaching the wires to the bulb I hung it upside down, using the wire to suspend it at a 90 degree angle (the gauge of wire that I used was VERY heavy, which allowed for them to support the weight of the bulb at the required 90 degree angle). I placed the wires through a piece of white paper and then wired the whole thing up to AC! (Warning do not try to do this at home if you don't know what you are doing!)

Took the photo at f4.0 and 1/500 ... used photoshop to lighten the image a little to blend a little of the bulb in with the background, making it look very "bright".

Thanks for all your comments!
