Comment by GrayGhost:
Nice idea, too bad the background is not attractive. For once I'd recommend a lot less DOF.

Nice and sharp, but could use something more, more angle, a kid leaning on the pyramid, a pad of paper with writing, etc.

So.
What we have here is a pile of books on a carpet.
15 books.
On 1 carpet.
And nothing which looks even either. (The pile is off-centre, and skew.)
I think you'd have done better by taking more time in deciding on your angles, and on using lighting to add character, and isolating the books from their background, might also have helped.
Don't give up trying.
And remember this motto:
"Is this pizzazz?
Or is this pedestrian?"
It's what helps me decide on what gets deleted and what stays.
Good luck for future entries!

Comment by Neuferland:
Good job! I had to go looking for him! If this is a real army man he's doing a good job, if it's not, someone is playing well at army.

This is a great concept on the challenge but the thing that pops out at me first is that white hose or pipe down the right hand side. And when you're trying to draw attention away from yourself, that's okay but I personally feel for this purpose it's not useful at all. A tighter crop would have worked better for this or having the open space on the left if possible. The person hiding did a great job with the clothes and such but their one mistake that I can see is the lips. Pink as can be, LOL! Stand right out there! Also the colors seem just a bit flat, maybe turn up the contrast or curves just a touch to make them pop out? A 5

Good camo I think the rest of the shot is just a little dull, maybe some stong contrast would give it some wow factor

While it is garbage the composition loss of detail in the plastic and right side of wood limit it's appeal and impact.

like how the hint of the two bags really does disrupt the peace of the shot.

i found this very interesting. i really like the shadow on the wall and how it balances her final image in the series. i also like how her shirt line enforces the lines of the walls. i only wish her initial figure was more washed out like the next few as it currently is only distracting imo. more space above the hands might help the composition as well. all in all still intriguing
