Good tight shot here, I dont mind the lost feet here, but I'd blow the highlights in the background to bring some detail out in the face.

This is good sidelight, and had a great chance to be a good shot. A couple things bother me about this shot. If I had to guess this was shot in AV mode and the big shadows in the background fooled the camera for shutter speed, slowing it down enough to kill the sharpness of the moment captured. I'd also have recommended going portrait and not cutting off the bottom of the legs. But since you did lose the legs go tighter with the whole crop.

I like the perspective you took on this shot. The lighting gradient works very well to add to the shot.

This is very cool. I have to try this some day. The flame looks so fluid great choice of shutter speed, and great colors as well. I think the score doesnt indicate the true value and technicals needed to make this photo. But who can tell about the DPC voters huh.

This is a good capture, this has action, a straight horizon!, faces and it gives me a bit of the action from the game.

Two nit picks, the cut off player on the right, this you may not be able to control, and I like to have at least a bit of the goal in place to anchor the shot. Gives the viewer a bit of perspective as to field position while the game is going on, this you can control. Position your self so that while shooting shots near the goal so that at least a small section of the goal is there for context.

This is a very good example of shooting through the play. You have the reaction of the team that I assume scored the goal, and the reaction of the goalie who allowed the goal. This tells a story to me and I wasnt even there. This is what sports photography is suppose to do. Tell a story about the game, to even people who werent there.

My nit with the photo, its way too loose. Crop it to the left of the players high fiving, and crop it just to the right of the far goal post.

Nice capture.

Even though there is a chop at the top, this is much more pleasing to the eye, in fact I think what I would do was actually rotate it straight and then square crop it even just a touch tighter.

Great sharp image. My nit with the photo the angle shot at, and the background. The man wandering in the background is pulling my attention away. One thing to remember when shooting pitchers(the easiest position on the field IMHO) go behind the backstop, take the hood off your lens(hopefully you have a high quality filter on it) set it right against the fence and zoom(if you are using a zoom) to fill the frame, shoot as wide open as you can get(almost, I usually stop down to F4) the background will blow out due to the distance from the subject to the background) the fence will blur out even at F4 and probably pretty well at 5.6 as well. Then shoot a burst while pitching. Sometimes even manual focus if the lens is hunting a bit. Shoot 4-5 bursts while they are pitching and you should end up with a great shot. Example of what I mean. Keep posting!
