Hanging Aroundby RetroesqueComment: Someone has an interesting wardrobe..........I wonder if variety is not the spice of life after all. I like how simple and yes complex it is all at once. |

SMC-Womens-B-ball-2008-242.jpgby cryanComment: Good action shot, nice peak action captured here. The WB and lighting in that place looks incredible. Good work here, I might crop a bit tighter but otherwise nice work.

#7 - Hockeyby hajekaComment: I like this angle, I like the face, great focus on the subject. I wish there were a bit more action, however I think adding this angle to the others you are shooting is a great choice. I feel a bit of a tilt to the left but not too bad until I really study it. I'd say you have made some good strides this month. I hope I have helped with my comments.

Dancing Queenby hannekeComment: This is the kind of shot that a bride at a wedding would kill for. Great venue set up and lighting.

The Agony of Defeatby karmatComment: The trick to these steam shots is your background.........next time try getting lower and find something dark in the background and see if that helps..........now you can remember that next year when you try again right? |

#5 - Hockeyby hajekaComment: Next time you go to this event, take a walk to behind that goal, I assume that is a fence back there. Take the hood off your lens,(hopefully you have a filter) stick it right against the fence and shoot this same shot. The difference in the angle and the shot that you get will amaze you. When you get to the fence pick the center focus point and stick it right in the middle of the square so that the fence isnt in the way of the focus point. The fence will blur and not be there at f4 or wider, sometimes even 5.6 but the need to put the lens against the fence becomes greater the more you step down. |

Jiu Jitsuby MaggyeComment: This is a good example of getting low to get a unique perspective of the action. Most PWC(parents with camera) sit high in the stands or even stand next to the mat and shoot down(which can be good if you have a nasty background) But I like to get in tight and low and shoot the action. You would def. get more keepers to up the ISO and increase the shutter speed. My thoughts are simple, I would rather deal with a bit of noise that I can fix or reduce in post processing, then deal with motion blur that I have no hope at all of fixing later. |

Flight of Fancy by mpetersComment: I have to admit that I love the look of this, it reminds me of the moon instead of the sun and is a beautiful photo. But I do have to say in the spirit of DPC...........hmmm I wonder how I'd feel about fooling the voters. |

Waterpolo shot.jpgby ShutterHackComment: Man must be nice to have an outdoor pool to shoot in...........this is a nice shot with a good low angle, fast enough shutter speed to stop the action......however I wish there was more action to it, give me some context to the play that is happening. |
