Comment by ShutterPug:
I really like this. The composition is pleasing. I really like that you did not over saturate the colors. It allows me to feel the span and depth of the canyon.

Comment by Germaine:
Just a suggestion, but I'd crop that bit of sky off the top. I think it would give more emphasis to the umbrella and the crowded feeling of the narrow street.

An evening in St Marks

Comment by docpjv:
A well exposed evening pic. The movement within the square keeps the eye in the picture whereas the blue sky and the physical structure provides a beautiful frame to thos inside. The hint of wetness enhances the subtle lights and reflections. Very good picture.

Comment by wavelength:
You might try channel mixer, pick the blue channel first, and then monochrome. Then bring Blue down to 0, and red and green +75 or so. I've been using this method a lot and I really like the results for most daylight balance pictures. but yes, a little neat image on this does wonders.

Comment by twmax:
I like both a lot. I think the B&W would be nicer if you ran it through NeatImage to remove some of the noise, expecially in the sky. I really like your composition...the ridge of the dune leads you right into the photo, and to the person. This would have been a great entry in the Rule Of Thirds challenge.
