Day 13: Survivorby PhotoDaveComment: I like the color in the sky here, but I wonder if there's a bit too much of it to really give the focus to the tree. A tighter crop both vertically and horizontally might have brought the tree more forward as the subject. What lens did you use to shoot this? Just wondering if getting closer with a wide angle might also have achieved more of what you were looking for here! I posted my "tree" non-entry here today, too! |

Day 12: Go Flames Goby PhotoDaveComment: Flags can be tough; too much motion, too blurry; not enough motion, too boring; this is (as Goldilocks is known for saying) just right to my eyes. |

Day 11: Sunrise on my streetby PhotoDaveComment: I like this shot; the street lights remind me of the alien invaders in the original "War of the Worlds." Neat capture, with a nice range of colors in the sky. |

Day 10: Columbia Galcierby PhotoDaveComment: Neat shot; I love the people in it to give it some size perspective, nicely done. Take these shots now while you can, before global warming turns all these frozen critters into pond water! ;) |

Day 29.2 - The Lordly House Museumby xianartComment: Nice shot; the white against the sky is well done. Would be fun to play around with cloning out the wires (oops, and their shadows on the house - maybe not so much fun!). |

Day 29.1 - Wild kids and tame dogsby xianartComment: Great shot and wonderful conversion; so much to look at, almost hidden in here (the dock and water below, for example). Nicely composed, shot, and processed. |

Buffalo Day 29by emily212Comment: Buffalo are wonderful animals, and this is a really nice shot of one. They were fighting, huh? That's actually a bit scary, I would think, unless you were pretty far away! |

Elk Day 28by emily212Comment: Great shot, Emily; the look on the elk's face actually reminds me of the look I got from the woman in the window in my "street photography" entry. Kind of, "Hey, why are you taking my picture?" Great shot; I'm so jealous that you have real wildlife to shoot (I have a choice; birds, or birds, or squirrels). |

Capt. F A Hendry House, LaBelle Fl..jpgby MelonMusketeerComment: Wonderful shot, through the trees works well here, and gives some nice perspective. I love the history lesson, too. About all I know of my ancestors beyond my grandparents is that someone in my line was kicked out of England and went to the U.S.; why? I've heard he was a thief :) Now that I'm living back here (in England), I hope no one looks up my lineage! I might get kicked out again! |

exit of the snakes.by ShannonLeeComment: Wonderful shot; I love your B&W conversions, and this is a great one, with nice texture throughout. I like this better than the color one (I don't care for the color of the house, which obviously isn't your fault, but in the B&W it's perfect). |
