hmm oil ? I used water. My first thoughts were to use oil, but density of oil is less than water, also I am not sure how the surface tension of oil is, will it support or not ?

I would have never guessed it to be yours. I am glad I waited for the challenge to be over :)
Nice lighting and those blue eyes look surreal. Using a wide angle lens also adds to the overal impact of the photo.

You can crop some of the left which is empty and doesn't add much... also having the left moves to butterfly to center, cropping can place it to a third and ehnace the composition

oversharpened ? or resizing artifiacts ? edges are not clean, but jagged..

Oregon beach ? I would have guessed Zoomdac, but I have seen more photos by others, so not so sure

the thumbnails looks much more attractive than the full picture. I guess noise in the pictures is not adding anything but rather taking away from a great capture. Composition is very centered, could be improved with slight adjustments... may be a portrait crops works better ? just my 2 cents
