Can Anyone Guess?by Mr_PantsComment: This image has a subject but could use some sharpness. That's the beauty of Macro Photography to me... being able to see textures that ordinarily unnoticed. |

Angry Dragonby kiskatComment: I've seen these in spencers but don't know what they're called. Nice image... The detail is a bit lacking. |

Grossby losemeComment: I bet you're getting hounded in the votes, here's what i think would be helpful. Currently the image is pretty busy...meaning when i look at the image, my eye doesn't know where to go because there's so much going on. The Highlights are a bit overexposed (we're loosing all detail) and the DOF is so shallow that it sends my eye to the right side of the frame but there's nothing there.
My gut tells me that all the elements of a photo should work together. The DOF and lighting should be used to direct the viewer's eye to an interesting portion of the photo (the subject). The subject should be interesting to begin with.
Most images also have a point of view. ie "Look at all the texture of this flower"
Bah, I'm rambling. Hope that helps. |

What's this?by keaComment: Very nice to see this clothe-spin. I think this image would be stronger if the DOF was wider to show the detail of the subject a bit more. |

layer on layerby suitenessComment: I personally am a huge fan if texture images like this but this image isn't popping for me. I think could use some contrast/saturation work to really grab that detail and show it off. Also, It might be interesting to see the entire subject in focus. |
