Humming Birdby TannyComment by loriprophoto: This is something I have wanted to try to shoot for ages. It is a pity that part of the bird's head is obscured. A better angle, side on more or from a higher angle so that the feeder isnt so dominant and obscuring the bird, would have improved it a lot, the colors are nice too. Keep trying to get these guys you will get the shot when you least expect it. |

Humming Birdby TannyComment by SandyP: Well. .. away from the feeder or no. . .this is an awesome shot!!! I am so in awe of people who can get good hummingbird shots. I can't even get my camera stopped on one long enough to shoot. This is great. So much detail in the wings and head. I just love it!!!

Humming Birdby TannyComment by klstover: I would imagine it'd be hard to get a shot of a hummingbird. I like this one because the background is so rich and it really compliments the bird's colors. Of course the feeder obscures part of the subject but instead of being all bad, I think the feeder really adds something to the photo and makes it unique. |

DOFby TannyComment by aimeethetoo: Overall a nice shot and a valiant attempt but I think insect shots are a real challenge. My eyes want at least one spot on the hopper to be in sharp focus but it's just not quite there (and yet seems over sharpened in post processing - especially when looking at the hairs) and the color a little drab making this shot just feel average. Maybe cropping off an inch from the right too? Oh wait - you are from the UK - make that about 2.5 cm. Hee hee! |

Trout Streamby TannyComment by aimeethetoo: Gorgeous! I want to slip off my shoes and take a walk in the water. Lovely light and color - I think the bright greens just make it feel more like a painting - and the softness of the water is beautiful. Very nicely done. |

Old Magicby TannyComment by aimeethetoo: This is a very cool shot. I like the perspective and it's a good idea. I think you are ripe for a painting with light challenge. Possibly would be enhanced by a little negative space at the top. |
