Great lighting and dof, but I think a different coloured bowl would have worked better, also I think a garnish with some height may have added to the drama but that is strictly an opinion...That said, I am also a former chef, and I understand how we have limitations on these things sometimes!

Day 8 - Noobian Sunrise (self-pic)

I think this is a good start..but imho you should always straighten your horizons, this is distractingly crooked...also altho the sunrise is great, it has left the subject a tad dark..perhaps some fill flash would have helped here. ALso it seems the focus is the green buildings, it would be more effective if the subject was in focus...

Props for getting up sooo very early, tho!
