I'm a fan of insect pics, and I sometimes get annoyed at people criticising shallow DOF on macros taken in the natural setting as I know how hard it can be. However, I do think this could have been improved by ensuring the focus extended to the head. Otherwise with the existing picture crop it down to just a detailed study of the wings because you have captured these really well...

Great image: excellent composition, exposure, subject, lighting, DOF, and colour. Well done. The only drawback to me is the white pin stripe around the border: to me it 'encloses' the image too much when it is a subject that is so broad and deep. I would have just stuck with the black or none at all. I don't detract marks for borders though - just a suggestion...

I like this image - it conveys a message. The only suggestion I would have would be to place the child off centre - perhaps lower left third and then take a slighly wider angle to keep the flowers in the frame on the left as I think they complement the ribbons in the girls hair.

Image appears a bit soft overall with no clear subject (except for the help given by the title). I would suggest getting in closer and singling out a subject.

There had to be someone to do this! Nice shot. Trying the same thing with cream may have been more effective in both concept as well as creating bigger spalshes. The texture on the splash is very pleasing though - well done - 8 first time round. Getting in closer still, and off centre composition, and reducing the shadows would have gained the extra 2 points from me.

The driver and unique shape to the taxi makes this shot. Colours are good, and movement creates interest. Perhaps just a tad to many blown highlights draw too much attention from the subject to different parts of the frame, but hard to control in shots like this. Solid entry...
