Do Not Humpby MadMan2kComment: “Do not” signs have many charms, especially when they are facetiously indecipherable like this one. By focusing closer to the subject or by blessing it with the adequate human presence, this well toned picture could surely be improved.
This location would be an excellent setting for an original engagement photo shoot... |

The giftwrapperby DennisheckmanComment: A nice surprise. Shallow DOF is used here in a refreshing and unorthodox manner. The fact that the only truly sharp detail in the scene is the word “exit” is a added delicacy.

3 kings and 2 tartsby skewsmeComment: I like that one. This profile belongs to an old time friend of mine, same beard and nose, he is now a renown astro-physicist. And that’s what he actually does for a living; he closely scrutinizes tarts and other significant galactic pastries.

watercolorby mrbig65Comment: I recognize that one. Thanks for the tribute. I remember spending agonizing hours on that one to make all parts of this otherwise dull subject stand out on their own. I treated the water, the buoy and the chain each on different layers, then blended them. That was a first. When depicting objects, get as close as possible and concentrate on tone and texture.

Shall We Beguin?by mlhannahComment: I like these pictures with lots of reflexions. they can bare two stories simultaneously or broaden the horizons of the image. This picture works for those who take the time; for others who breeze through a set of images, you need something in there that stands out and catch the eye on the fly.
