What is and what may beby PaulComment: To paraphrase you title I would say “What is and could have been”
A good photograph with beautiful reflexions, the timing is spot on. If only this right arm on the left would have fit in the frame! Just a small rotation from a masterpiece.
Hell is in the details. |

The Backdoorby BaldurTComment: I see there a tribute to “high security” thank you.
The door I photographed then, I saw a few months ago, all revamped and horrid looking. Images remain. |

maybe tomorrow will be betterby NeatComment: Good portrait of a beautiful kid, Nice volumes in the background as well (a slight cropping of the clear space on the right could balance the composition I feel)
I don’t quite know what to do with your title though; did you feel your photograph was not able to convey aptly the story behind these eyes or is it some form of emotional staging ?
Is this someone you know? |

A Disturbing Phone Callby kprasad9375Comment: Perfect control of light and textures here.
I understand It can hard to be simultaneously a photographer and an actor (I am assuming this is a selfie). Instead of staring at the phone, you could have thrown an empty and distraught look in front of you? That would have nicely filled with gloom the otherwise non-significant negative space on the left of the image. Good photographic work nevertheless. |

Hot Lunchby MAKComment: Looks like there will be some “Candy Crush” for desert as well. nicely composed altogether. I’m not so sure about shallow DOF for street photography. In such mundane scenes, giving more visibility to the surroundings to contextualize is a plus I think. |

The Harley Pirate and his Wenchby littlemavComment: Fine portrait with an contextualized background. The scull about to devour the gentleman’s hat is definite plus. And would I be sarcastic, I would title this “Love is looking in the same direction” |

Shadesby beatabgComment: I once titled a picture in the same manner, didn’t I? Nice lines and good use of shading. I took the liberty to turn this image into a vertical panoramic by cropping out the fences on both sides, the top sky as well; It does strengthen the composition for me.
Also, I have this strong impression that this young women forgot to wear feet that day (?) |
