One of the best portraits I have seen here. The timing/capture is electrifying. The fine cold light vs. the incredible tonal detail and natural look you managed to retain is a far reach indeed! I cannot conceive of a better portrait of this young Lady. There is no 'pose' I can see; instead, I see a moment in time, a part story.

This is really a great photo. Yeah, maybe some people wouldn't want it on their wall, or if you did this as a commercial job, the parent might freak out a bit, but artistically it's fantastic.

While it does have some elements of "creepy" to it, so what? Why should all photos of kids be filled with smiles and balloons and happy faces? THIS is the photo this girl will probably love to death when she gets older. ( Assuming she isn't in prison for eating human brains that is).

Deep tone matches her features.... eyes and hair.... contrast of the child's expression and her detailed pink dress to the dark colour is striking. A great family album foto and beautiful portrait.

Oh my goodness! This is so beautiful. I would love this picture if she were my daughter. I love the colors, lighting, and pose. You are doing a wonderful job shooting portraits! I love how we are learning together. I just wish we were learning together in the same city. :-)

That's why I like it, but, I don't know if it'd be a good photograph to have of a child. Maybe? Dunno, really.

I love this, and I would certainly want to hang this on my wall were it my daughter! I can definitely see how this little girl was giving her mother that look, my daughter gives me a similar look all the time :) I think this is a stunning portrait, maybe dark to some but everyone should be able to agree that it's a brilliant capture.
