James, it's a shame the image was disqualified. It can feel personal, but don't believe it. It has happened "unfairly" to many others before you and will no doubt continue to happen. There are so many rules to pay attention to, one pretty much has to be around awhile to follow them.

There is btw an option to submit a request for validation along with your entry, or anyway sometime before the challenge ends. Unfortunately, again, you would have to be around awhile to realize that might be necessary!

Great photo, by the way. I've also enjoyed checking out your portfolio.

Don't let it break you. This is still an absolutely STUNNING image that should be on DPPrints. Those 9 faves should be worth as much as a virtual ribbon, no? :)
