I like the use of neg spc in this shot. I especially like the way all of the lines and curves of the leaves lead the eye down into the "stalk" of the plant, and on to the bottle. Very interesting, and a very engaging composition. lhall-8

This is a great idea and a very good shot. But I feel that it could be improved – if only slightly – by changing the lighting. Try using bounced flash or reflectors to kill the dark shadows within the palm – your central subject. The composition is perhaps a little too central as well; try cropping the image to one side, this would – in my opinion - improve the balance of the of the very strong background over the central subject. Having said that, it's not a bad shot… (7)

Good composition, color, and focus. I think that the lighting is a bit uneven and thus the weakness of the image. Just a bit too hot on the right side, and too weak on the left. I think some fill light is needed for this type of shot.
