The strong directional lighting and perfectly controlled depth of field strongly accentuate a strong composition. I love the lines, the textures, and the narrative sense.

The soft light and subtle grays in this shot take some time to work their magic. But if we give the photo time to work the echoes between the faces - their shapes, textures, and directional gazes - draw us into the life of the photo and it comes alive. Very nice!

The choice of B&W was ideally suited to this shot. It emphasizes the texture of hair and hands and accentuates the strong sense of focus on the subject. It's a lovely composition, with a strong and appealing narrative sense.

She is the apple of your eye! I like the baggy suit. I wish the background were a little more blurry, though I understand that unless you have a really big apple, such a thing would not be possible in a small studio.

I love the compostion, and the choice of color pallet. There is something about the way the contrast or curves work to blur detail and force our eye to the subject that feels a tad contrived or overdone to me.

There is something playfully subversive about this image: the static pose, the way the subject is sort of gratuitously ediited out of the photo, the static, but not quite perfectly symmetrical composition - that I really like.
