Somewhere only we knowby BalkanComment by meyers: The rooftops in the immediate foreground don't add much to the shot. Cropping them out gives the area a denser, packed in look. |

Somewhere only we knowby BalkanComment by CapeSail: Looks like a great place to visit. To me the buildings in the foreground are slightly blurred. It would be nice to see what the camera settins are during the voting process. Without knowing that, for a landscape shot I try to get f16-f22 range to mimic what the eye sees and focus on the foreground subject. In this photo because the building in the lower right in so prominent and being slightly blurred it detracts from the rest of the photo. Great subject matter though. |

''One of those without name''by BalkanComment by MattO: Greetings from the critique club. First I'd like to say that I love the angled approach to the challenge, it leads me up to a nice point and leads me no where, hence you met the challenge well. I wish you had found a spot where the foreground wasnt as busy, the "stain" or whatever it is in the foreground is a bit captivating as a viewer and takes my attention from the leading point. Overall I like the desat/B&W conversion and the toning of the photo. Scored about where I think it should have. |
