| 01/08/2007 12:27:01 AM | Pattern of the Unknown! ( ...I know it DNMC)by kbhatia1967Comment: [ Yes, I am the culprit. To all those who are pained to see it.
That was my sole objective, to bring to the notice the harsh realities of life (and death).
Some of the members have called it a jocular title. I do not agree. First of all, I was short of words (in the title) for me to explain what I wanted to explain. Second, I did not want comments like the simple DNMC's. Therefore, I declared in the title itself that it does not meet the challenge.
Regarding the first part of the title, we all are made up of same pattern. This photograph represents someone who was born like us, but remained unknown. At least, with this photograph, I have been able to generate respect for the baby.
I know, it is a disturbing, shocking, offensive, upsetting, immoral, gruesome, intriguing, sad, upsetting, disgusting and sick.
But, I don't agree that I have not shown respect for the baby. Perhaps he would have objected if he had a voice, but now he has his voice, through all of us!]
You know... as a passerby of this 'so-called' side-show attraction, I would have the option of choosing to go in and view this sort of thing or not. With that, if I should choose to go in to see these "festivities," even if I knew nothing of the contents of the display before entering, I would have the choice to balk at such an unimaginable disrespect and disgusting exploitation of a human being.
This "magic show" you shake your finger at is no worse than you are. You have chosen to use this media to illustrate whatever ridiculous point you're trying to make here is, and you have subjected all of us (including the children who frequent this community) to it and your idiocy! Due to the size of the thumbnail, virtually no one could have made out what this picture was without clicking on it WHILE under the impression that it was related to the challenge!
So, what actually IS your point anyway? "Don't put stillborn deformed babies in jars and publicly display them!" Alright! But a better chant here is this: Don't FORCE us to view it! If your point was to illustrate how badly that baby was exploited, it was not done so as badly as you exploited it!

Thanx!
