This is way after the challenge and you may not care to hear my thoughts, but I will offer. I gave this shot a 4. I really liked the idea of the shallow depth of field, but it just doesn't work in this shot. It seems like the DOF is on the fence here. If it were tighter or longer, it would work better. Think of an Oreo commercial, would they have this many crumbs around or flakes on the creamy cookie center? It just seems too contrived of a shot. It seems like it was set up without motive and done just because you got the good angle on the separatated Oreos. (But I know that's not true.) That being said, I really like the idea of the shot. I think that the lighting is pretty good (which probably is the most important part) but it just didn't jive with me. Not that my photos are better, but I wanted to try to help out.

I love the idea. I think you could have benefitted from a fill flash or something to illuminate the bottle a little bit more. But you really can't nitpick with a background like that.

I think this is a really great photo. I think the focus is a little bit soft on the dogs, but a great exposure with the red breaking up the black and white monotony.

I really like the idea behind this. I think it is the most imaginitive in the challenge. I think you could have made the open window more blue in post processing, just to make it stand out even more. Advertising is about punch. Best of luck.

This is a really good picture. Something you would see as a cover on a CD. It probably won't rate well with other voters because of its size.
