15th Century, Framwellgate Bridge at nightby fredandaudComment by Imagineer: Not a bad viewpoint or subject but the image lacks clarity and it does look like it's been sharpened to compensate for missing definition. It's a shame because this does look like a lovely scene and you've composed it well.
If I were you I'd use a tripod, try to get closer to the water (without dying trying). Then focus on the lightest part of the scene and expose for around 8-15 secs. Ideally use a Neutral Density filter which will even out tones somewhat and reduce 'hot spots' fropm lights. This will also give you some super smooth water effects as the long exposure records all the movement as one. |
