Lingering in the Lawnby njsabsComment: Lovely wildlife portrait, though it's a shame he's on a brown twig rather than one of the green blades. I like the shallow DOF and the way that the grass fills the entire frame. |

One lump of sweetness by IreneMComment: I love the intense colours, the smooth, bulging surface held together by surface tension, the lovely liquid-saturated sugar cube with such fine detail of the crystals and that little drop below turned into molten gold by the light falling through it. Great composition, great sharpness, lovely contrast. All good. |

Candy Cigarettes - Old School Sugar Addictionby timfythetooComment: Ha, this is fun! I love those candy cigarettes. You can still buy them in my local newsagents but they have to call them candy sticks now otherwise they are deemed to be glamourising smoking to young kiddies! So they don't have the bright coloured end (which was meant to mimic the glowing ciggie end). Oh well! |

Carrot cakeby booboo_goonComment: I like the scene you have set with the chair and framed image in the background. The plate feels too close to the edge of the image though, I think it needs a little space. And I'm not personally keen on the rather blue colour tones of the image. I think warmer tones would suit it better. |

Deep fried tofuby MonaLisa77Comment: That tofu looks great but... I'm afraid that plate really, really detracts from it. I'd say presenting the beautiful bright tofu (and it's bed of bright green lettuce) on a plain white plate with perhaps a pair of plain black chopsticks or a very plainly designed spoon would work better than the plate and spoon used here. |
