This is a beautiful photo. I rated it very high. The only thing that keeps drawing my attention is that the date on the certificate and the date on the shoe don't match. Then I just tell myself. Of course, they bought the shoe before the baby was born. You could almost enter the same photo in the "something new" contest, only switching, of course, the style of shoe to modern and with a new birth certificate. Just a funny observation. Good luck.

LOL!! I just looked up the band the Sundays and wow...Their photo and this one are very similar. Just goes to show you that this must be a really great photo, if one like it has been on an album cover. Sorry I missed this challenge, but I really like this shot.

tossed over an old fence

The "something old" you mentioned in the title was the fence. Maybe you could incorperate the fence in with the bottle and have a larger impact. Also, maybe kick some dirt up onto the bottle to make it look more like it's been there awhile. sitting here looking at it, (don't know where the fence was in ralation to the light and the fence) would have looked great with the old fence reflecting onto the bottle there in that bar of light.

I'm very new to wanting to take pictures, I actually haven't submitted a pic on here yet and only have a regular digital camera with no attachments or anything. Forgive me if I sound photo illiterate, but how did you accomplish the whole see through hand affect? I like it a lot. Thanks for the oppertunity to view your pic.
