Ritter Parkby ali626Comment by SJCarter: Beautiful shot - but needs to be cropped much closer IMHO. The DOF is very good and the colors are very natural, but I think they could be bumped up a hair. |

Ritter Parkby ali626Comment by pawdrix: I'd like to see this one in tighter but it also looks a little soft so that might not have been possible. Nice capture none the less. |

Ritter Parkby ali626Comment by tsheets: Personally, I don't think all the extra space to the right does anything for the shot. Maybe cropping closer would set the focus more on the butterfly and bees. Also, maybe a bit more DOF. Looks like the flower the butterfly is on was actually the focus point. I think it's nice that the bees are relatively in focus as well, though. |

Red Flowersby ali626Comment by letenele: Very nice, in this case you could even isolate the flowers in focus and even center them. The background blur is excellent. The colors are vibrant. Good job. |

Family Hugby ali626Comment by Neil: Great candid capture, the colors and smiles work really well here. So nice of you to tell the family and send them the photo. This really should have finished higher. I think something that might help a little is to crop a bit more off the left, putting them further off center. I know that sounds like a canned response using the rule of thirds, but if you hold you hand over the left side of the shot almost to the people I think you'll see it gains an interesting balance. Also, try just a tad more sharpening (USM or sharpen edges) after reducing for upload.
And thanks so much for your comments on my recently uploaded abstract. |

Three Leaves Leftby ali626Comment by 4score: Wow...very nice. I love the shallow DOF and the leaves are right in the crash points.. Hard to believe you maintained such good focus on all of them. Lighting is warm too. I just LOVE looking at this shot. You should be proud! |
