This appeals to me very much and I am surprised that I'm the first one to comment on this wonderful macro. The textures here are amazing. It gets a bit blurry down the center and edges but it doesn't take away from the beauty of this composition.

Great shot. The snake is nice and sharp, and the composition is very pleasing. His slithery sheen looks well. Good lines too, they add movement. I can just imagine the snake leaping out of my screen and hissing.

The smooth tones of the girl's face compete with the specks on the window. Either adding noise to the entire image or cloning out the grit on the glass would have improved the image. The way that her nose lines up with the corner of the window makes the image feel somewhat off-balance.

Nice shot. It sure does look like a busy area for such a small spot on a woodland floor. The picture is technically good (from what I know, I'm still a newbie photographer) but I think the spot you picked to photograph makes all the difference. Me, I can find something to take a picture of anywhere too but I have a hard time getting good looking shots of it like you did here.
