San Quirico d' Orciaby GordonComment: This has a fun feel to it. The slight blur adds a good sense of movement - without it she would have looked posed. Tough lighting conditions with the darker coffee area vs the well-lit counter area. Did pretty well with it.
Well, my comment time is about up as my 3yr-old just joined me. I asked him what he thought of the "picture" and he said "Looks pretty good" "It's a nice shot".
Like father like son! ;^) Good luck in the challenge. |

Coffee & Sugarby EllieNeuferComment: An 'A' for effort! Had to have taken some time to put that together. Fun concept with the photo. I think your composition is fine (perhaps a bit tight), but I think you may run into some issues with the exposure as the sugar dish is a bit hot. Overall, a good job. Good luck in the challenge. |

Top Quality Caféby patrinusComment: This is nice. Good feel of the texture in the beans. Good tonal range from black to white. Composition is fine. Well exposed.
You lost your foam! ;^) Hard to get the shot you want on the first take sometimes isn't it. He-he. Good luck in the challenge. |

Fishby hannekeComment: Well, the effort paid off. ;^) Again, simple subject (clever to think of) and fun results. I could see this selling quite well as a stock photo. For a twist, how about adding an empty fish bowl to the left? I don't know...just fooling around a bit.
Smile and keep having fun! ;^) |

flowerpower.jpgby MAKComment: I like your choice of subject to attempt this (dodge/burn). The wilted flower petals lends itself well to the overall feel (gloomy) of the image.
Dodge & Burn isn't one of my better areas in PP either. One reason, is I don't like the grainy appearance I get. It looks like it's caused some graininess in your flower image here also.
Good luck. I'm jealous...wish I had some extra time to practice this technique as well. ;^)
Edit - just noticed that your edges look funny next to the border, like there was a 1 pixel white edge that got caught up in the burning? Message edited by author 2005-10-06 09:51:59. |

Baseballby hstegComment: This is a GREAT photo of a baseball...but what does it have to do with a coffee shop? Did it fly thru the window while you were there? ;^) Just curious...I'm sure you must have some connection, but really, I don't get it. Good luck in the challenge. |

Happy to be Aliveby loriprophotoComment: He certainly looks full of himself - for sure! ;^) We have two horses (Arabian and Tennessee Walker) and it's fun to watch them run and charge around when the wind blows just the right way.
Nice job of capturing the motion and the movement of his mane. Well done. Take care! |

Desert Lifeby LeighroyComment: Great exposure and lighting on this well composed image! Like the use tilting the image - works well with the natural diagonal lines formed by the clouds in the sky. I just know there's a lizard in there somewhere! ;^)
