Very noisy, looks like 100% crop. The noise doesn't bother me as much as the horizon line at the top of the wings. Maybe if you were at a higher or lower angle this shot could have had a bit more punch.

Is that water up front? I think I'd probably like this better if the water was cropped out and the ground was brought to the bottom of the crop.

Perhaps a zoom movement rather than strictly vertical would have worked better here.

Could probably use some larger color variations between the yellow to green. I can't really tell where my eyes lead me as far as the main subject.

Rocks seem a bit dark. Perhaps either some fill light up front to bring out the texture or completely blacken the foreground.

Yes, I like the scratches as well.

I don't know how I missed it in the first place, but if you are using Lightroom 2 then you should have the adjustment brush.
Under the brush settings there is an option for 'Auto Mask'.
When you are applying your adjustments (exposure, clarity, color, etc...) make sure the + in the middle of the brush stays in an area you want adjusted.
Lightroom will try to automatically detect what you are attempting to select and not mask anything else.
For instance, this was shot on a white foam board background. If you notice the background is pure white, this was accomplished by increasing the exposure with the adjustment brush on only the white background. It isn't perfect, as you can see it also lightened some of the highlights, but it speeds things up tremendously.

no serious noise reduction outside of Lightroom. The lighting really did the trick of keeping noise down.
