Great composure, the focus seems just a tad off unless you're using a soft focus filter or lens. I think some of the soft, dreamy effect would have been there with the wide aperture alone and been better with one sharp area of focus (the yellow flower for instance).

Thanks for the critique BMacD! I thought the rings stood out pretty dominant, but I guess as strong as their white is, the black radial cracks as just as strong.

I should have put my camera on the monopod I had with me, but was lazy and handheld it at the edge of the shutter speed/focal length balance. That would have probably addressed the sharpness that a few of you mentioned.

Popdeepop, you're right. I didn't even think of it at the time. I should have lost the teleconverter and shot the edges of the post which was square, adding to the shape theme.
