nice sharp image with a hint of meeting the challenge but it is met. I like that you didn't go with the normal rock beats scissors image most others used. Great detail and colors.

Great timing, wish the grass was much more out of focus, as it competes for viewer's attention at the moment. Snake is too horizontally centered in frame for my taste.

Great capture, this is really well done. Nothing said the r/p/s had to be the subject of the picture, I hope people don't misinterpret that and downgrade you for it, because this is better than a lot of the pics in this challenge. Hm. As I look at it again, maybe you could take a little off the right side to improve the composition, though the clean diagonal through it is nice.

the snake is beautiful and softness works imho very well here - i would give more than 8 if you got the challenge topic more into focus (or may be i would not because that would spoil the snake :-)
