Comment by Melethia:
The only hazard to shooting with this angle is making her look impossibly thin. Though I suspect she is really slight in build anyway, and that she'll love that this makes her look tiny! I like the cross-diagonals - the line of her body crossed by the wood pattern.

i think I agree that the hands are perhaps a bit too bright. This is the value of second opinions! thanks!

Again thanks, her nose is that way naturally, that's just the way it is.

The blue cast is deliberate. I think it looked nicer with a cool early evening type feel, so dropped the color temp and overall brightness a tad.

The face is touched up and worked a bit, but it's all skin work, no shape changes.

As to her hand being out of focus. That's the 50mm f/1.4. DOF is pretty shallow. No artificial blur was used, the plane of focus is as shot. The blur in her hair above her hand is similar.

thanks. Her face is actually a few shades lighter than Molina's. Also, the Taiwanese value light skin as beautiful much more than we do. I find Molina's lovely shades to be far more attractive, but they think she's too dark.

Very nice capture & processing. For posing, IMO it would be better to not have her right hand in the shot, and to move her left hand up the tree a bit. IMO, her right hand is in the main focal point of the picture, but it is "in front" of the main subject (her face) and OOF.

In the preview, this looked like it had a bluish cast. Looks OK in the full-size version, though. It also looks like you have an editing problem running down the length of her nose - over highlighted, artificial selection. It looks like a similar problem above her jawline back towards her ear, but not as intense.

This is a very nice capture of a very attractive young lady. Please tell her I said so.

Her right leg is what I mean by a position that looks awkward / painful. I like the highlights in her hair. Her expression appears relaxed and natural. Again, a very different angle. The angle makes her head look huge, and her body tiny. Yet, you've made it work nicely.

A different angle without looking painful or contrived. Wish her smile was a bit bigger / more spontaneous looking. Overall, a very nice, complimentary capture.

enjoy the playful feel on this, although the foreground elements (the hands) seem too blown out

i think be cause the hand is in roughly the same plane as the rest of her i dont like that it is blurred, i was about to say something about the color looking a little washed out then i read your description
