The left side of the photo seems a bit empty to me.

Comment by Dr.Confuser:
I truly dislike this genre of photography ... but this is so good I'll make an exception. Among the best I've seen of photos of this type! And among best in class this challenge.

great DOF usage and perfect focus although i imagine he/she may have sat in that position a while for you. i wish the other shell in the bottom left corner couldve been cropped out

Excellent clarity and depth of field; I also like how everything is one color.

this one gotta be on the podium. i like your own twist on the Anne Geddes style shots. those baby shots are silky/smooth, while yours has "texture" elements (background with the basket/towel/brown-bg and skin details with strong usm). a very very strong 10 from me

Comment by mist:
I like the set-up here but the motion blur isn't quite working. There's not enough of it, I think. So instead of conveying the jump, it just looks like a shakey camera.

Comment by Ceefore:
This is an excellent image which for me is let down slightly by the blurring of the child. I know this is meant to show motion, but a photographer once said to me if your trying to achieve an effect in an image, make sure it doesn't look accidental. If you wanted blurred movement it should be more blurred, if you wanted to freeze the action it should be sharper. Please accept this as constructive criticism as I really do like this one :)
