two.by xantangummiComment by KarenNfld: I don't like the armband, I like the grain and I really like the presentation. I am going to look for some sea urchins the next time I am at a beach, I've come to the conclusion that they make great props!! |

two.by xantangummiComment by SandyP: I think the grain works great with this. There's something about hands looking all textured and rough that give them such character and beauty. Yes. I think this photo works very well.

I think the noise works. |

two.by xantangummiComment by sevilduvarci: i like the presence of the arm band too. and i like the fact that the hands are not centered and the hand on the right side is cropped. gives a more spontaneous, unstaged shot feeling which i like. |

two.by xantangummiComment by bdenny: I'm all about armbands! I'm not a huge fan of the noise, but its not bad. Whatever he's holding (shell of some sort?) would make an excellent macro study! |

two.by xantangummiComment by JerseyGenie: Actually I think the armband adds some interest to the shot ... why is it there, what was so important about it, and not to mention the beat up quality it holds. |

one.by xantangummiComment by xantangummi: Originally posted by ursula: I prefer the left image. It's not too punchy. The image at the right is a bit soft I think. The tones look different in the two - did you process them together (as a duo), or separatedly? |
I porcessed them spearatedly in lightroom, they are meant to be viewed as to separate shots, just could'nt choose. Maybe I should have increased the contrast on right one for the internet, but then again I like images with low contrast.
oh yeah, they are two different girls Message edited by author 2007-05-01 14:56:38. |
