Figured this one was yours. It got a high score from me. Particularly liked the transparent, translucent quality of the flower. This image is sorta of the skinny side - i think you cropped ;)

Hello Michael, nice to meet you. This portrait doesn't make me feel that it's the kind Michael i know somewhat. Think the lighting has something to do with that.

This pic is terribly, terribly underrated. I liked it a lot and gave it a high score for this challenge. Actually like how the hair is blowing all over a face and yet there is a lot of visibility of the facial features. Liked how the light (sunlight?) is playing through your hair and particularly how it shines through the background. Also liked the expression on your face. Found this portrait sexy in a quiet, understated way. Great job!

Hi Julia, what's wrong? You got clothes on! :) I liked this portrait and the effect you accomplished. Thanks for posting the recipe. I'll try it out myself sometime. I know you're quite a modern woman but in this picture your looks are Pre-Raphaelite. Take care.

That's a darn fine image, Tony. It has soul. The foremost post could be a tad sharper but i know i'm being very demanding here. Just wished you didn't paste your copyright notices onto your images; they take away greatly from the enjoyment of them :(

Great picture, scab-lab. It doesn't have the scablabby colors but even in B&W this guy does great stuff. This image hits me in the gut!

Find this a beautiful portrait and i like the pose and the toning. The only 'negative' that results from the pose (and you probably got some comments on that) is that it gives the nostrils (not exactly the most aesthetically pleasing feature) a lot of prominence. 8

I SWEAR leaving a nice comment with this picture and a score of 7 Wed night but now that i revisit this challenge it seems unmarked. This is just another glitsch at dpc. Anyway, what i recall having said is that i took your picture into PS (because i was curious :) and did a flip vertical and it gives a very interesting effect. Try it and you'll see! I like the originality of the layout, so to speak. Why not just put yourself in the gutter? :) It's a fun image. It has a lot of 'presence'. And i like images that are simple and uncluttered. You could have done a little more with the yellow line; it just sits there. For starters, you could have cropped the bottom so that the yellow line runs the entirety of the image. In fact, you could have cropped more off the top and the bottom. The guy in the image looks like a 10 to me but since i'm supposed to vote on photog merits only, i give this image a 7.

Stuff Magazine - or - Playboy

Comment:
I gave your pic a 7, a high score. You did a very professional job on this pic, however, it is not Playboy quality but due to dpc editing restrictions you had no control over that. It's not Playboy quality because you can see the stretch marks of clothing she wore before the shoot. I doubt that even on the cover of Playboy nipples and pubic hair would be that visible and it indeed borders on the vulgar. You did that to bring in your 10s from those who were envisioning a good f.... So, they did offset your 25 1s. And yes, i'm pissed too that the anti-nudity crowd deliberately and routinely turn their nudity filter back off so that they can dish out their 1s.
Personally, i like nude pictures of female and male models but i prefer subtlety, i.e. rather less than more, so that the viewer is left with the pleasant task of imagining :) With this picture, even though the model wears a bikini, there is not much left to imagine. It's a 'Wanna F... Me' picture. I like sensuality, like to see the beauty of a beautiful body portrayed in an artistic, not sleazy, manner.
While voting was going on, i sure hoped that the Laughing Horse would win out over these booooooobs. Am glad it did. Btw, i got just about the same number of votes your pic got, i.e. nothing unusual in the high number of votes.

Sorry DrJones for having made the above remark. You surprised me greatly that you even marked it helpful :) Guess i can learn a thing or two about tolerance from you. Guess i can also learn a great deal about photography from you.

Is this dsidwell by any chance? Looks like him and that bouquet of flowers seems like a real dsidwell touch. Nice portrait, nice colors 7
