CLose to the Shuttleby bondrockComment by alanfreed: Just a technical note to the folks who said they wish they could see "the other side" of the shuttle. This actually IS the side where you would normally see the orbiter. The framework you see that is blocking the shuttle is called the "Rotating Service Structure" (I believe), and it is like a giant door that swings open about a day before a scheduled launch. I had a chance to be part of a press team at a launch in May of 2000... some of the shots from that trip are at www.thefreeds.com/misc/shuttle if you're interested :) |

CLose to the Shuttleby bondrockComment by Jonniboy: I know that "close up" is relative but I don't really think you can argue this fits the challenge. As a picture it's OK - I'd have left the top of the white mast in shot. |
