Refuge From the Stormby US2UKComment by nam: Fine photo - emotive travel and place AND architecture at its best. Congratulations on the blue.
I enjoyed the story of your getting this one, too. I suggest you re-copy it and paste it into the description. Some don't read through comments (though many do as they can be as good as or sometimes better than the image LOL ) and that way anyone who comes upon this even years from now will have that added context.
Gotta love husbands who respond like this - I have one, too :) |

Fortress in the Nightby US2UKComment by tanguera: Was this for some sort of celebration?? I was there and there weren't any lights like that :(
I really like this but what's that weird magenta area to the right? |

Refuge From the Stormby US2UKComment by Dennisheckman: Well deserved blue! Good for you for being persistent. And thanks to your husband for turning around! I agree, the processing is just right. There would have been a real urge to take this too far with detail. Its a real image. Love the lights in the windows too, brings real sense of life to the image. |

Refuge From the Stormby US2UKComment by tate: COngrats. Gave this one an 8.
What puts this over the top for me is that you have brought us there. There's an emotion and mood here that is captured wonderfully and I can imagine the warmth inside this place along with the blustery conditions of the environment. It's one thing to find a place like this but it doesn't guarantee a successful photo - Processed and composed very well on an image that could have been flat or overcooked. You nailed this one. |
