Pleasant smooth tones - difficult to do with a flat desat. Was a blue filter setting used in-camera?

Comment:
You seem to have missed focus on the egret entirely, in favour of the distracting background. The grass behind is also showing sharpening halos.

It's very hard to do a shot like this without being left with any reflections or much dust to clone out - nicely done.

The verticals are just a little off-vertical, which detracts from the composition.

I would have preferred to see the whole mushroom in sharp focus, rather than the leaf litter in the background - the entire focal plane seems to be somewhat behind it.

A shallower depth of field would have helped to isolate the subject from the background more, as would tighter framing.

A lot of the highlights on the structure are blown out, losing a lot of detail.

The off-vertical tilt of the window frames along the right edge of the image detract from the shot somewhat.

There seems to be just a bit of a warm colour cast that could have been avoided with a custom white balance setting in camera.

Comment:
for architectural shots with prominent verticals, it really helps to have the camera straight - the tower on the right leans to the left. There are also noticeable sharpening halos around the entire building against the sky.
