That's the only angle that I wanted to see of my DI's. Even then, you somehow knew that they could see every mistake that you were even thinking about making.

The campaign cover is the only piece of headgear in the world that puts a knot in the stomach of every Marine, even 40 years later.

As someone approaching 64 too rapidly, I was sort of hoping to look like the guy somewhere around 80. Nice hat and the sleeping "wife" in the background makes the pic a good match for the song.

Is that "love" or lust on the face of the male?

The outstretched hands on the far character are great. How many times I've set up shots only to be asked then or later by someone "What's that?"

Ticket To Ride

As a 44 year Beatles fan, I knew every song referenced in all the entries, so I was really looking for one that jumped out. This one did. I think the dogs are distracting and would have liked to have them out of the picture. I don't know whether this was a planned shot or target of opportunity, but it would also have been cleaner to not have the tree under the horse's front leg, though the silouhette is distinct enough that that's not a major problem. The peek of sun through the rider's hair is great. Unless the horse is a statue, that had to be fortuitous (or 300 shots till you got it just right). But dogs and tree aside, the horse and rider jump out, and that's the "ticket". 10
