Mirrored Hopeby
ddngComment by Tranquil: Greetings from the Critique Club!
Hello, Di. I'd first like to say that this photo seems a little bit grainy. It doesn't seem to be an artistically added grain but a color grain which should not really result from a camera such as the 10D. This might have happened due to a bad JPEG compression which, depending on your photo editing software, can be fixed (PM me if you would like help).
Otherwise...I find the photo fairly uninteresting. It is underexposed and the reflection adds some interest, but there is a lack of a focal point. There is nothing that stands out as the actualy subject of the image. I read your comment, and I now understand your concept of hope. Unfortunately, I believe that your title led us to believe that the hope was in the trees for they were mirrored, hence Mirrored Hope. Without a focal point, the idea of hope isn't conveyed obviously so a stronger title may have resulted in a higher score.
As far as this goes for you, I think it is a try again next time situation. Good luck.
