Good idea. Did you try to give the lighting a different angle to create a smaller/clearer shadow as well? I'd like to see a shot of that is well so I could compare which I like better!

Well this is def. interesting! Effective as well IMO. To be very picky there is a bit of a blu spot on the right of the bulb which distracts me as it doesn't seem to fit with the colouring of the rest of the photo.

Wow! What a thought provoking image. I really love this! The haze around the knife is fantastic and the lighting to me is just perfect! A bit more of an expression on the subjects face may have made it more effective though which is my only complaint. He looks like he is about to cut steak and not commit a murder as the title suggests!

It's quite cute but maybe a little too much backlighting? The area by the halo seems to be a little harsh with such a contrasting background and soft foreground.

A little bit skew? Doesn't do it for me, sorry. A bit of a mosaic effect happening but I don't like the coloured columns and it just seems too busy?

Quite a sweet photo with a lot of cuteness (in my opinion at least!). A bit of lens flare above the neck which distracts me and maybe a tighter crop would have helped.
