What an endearing time of simplicity, being a child again. I guess I wont ever be a child again, but with this image at least I can imagine it, and yes, it does define simplicity. I love that you put two subjects in the shot, the story behind it gets better with the simple brother, and sister care free feel to it. I also love the black and white part. If I were to critique it in anyway I would of said put a couple of object in the photo that further define simplicity, and a care free zone. Maybe a sand castle bucket, or even a half built sand castle would of taken it over the top for me, as it sits, it is still one of my top choices in the challenge, and I want to thank you for sharing it. Good Luck.

I think this shot wins with finer lines, and more clarity overall. May still win, but I'd of liked to seen a shot with super fine lines, and just a little more color to the little guy. Definitely one of my top choices, you really nailed the object of the challenge, the simplicity part is perfect, I hope this shot does well, I enjoy it. Good luck.

I have a hard time saying, great shot, partially because I'm sure you know that already. You could possibly win this thing with this shot, I'm really not sure. It is one of my top choices. It is executed flawlessly, but there is something about its composition that throws me off, and I'm not sure what it is. I'd really like to see what a red back drop would of looked like, or maybe blue. It may just be that I have seen several similar shots over the years, but I would never subtract points for that, just simply because of the ever revolving door of talent. The dramatic feel is present, and the execution looks good, the simplicity part is met, whatever it is that is throwing me off eludes me, so I'm bumping it up to my top 5. Great job, good luck.

Of the challenge, this one is the most comfortable to the eyes for me. It defines simplicity in the most lovely way, and the colors are good enough to stare at for hours. The fine details, and the depth created with the rest of the photo is very nice. I like it a lot, and it is one of my top choices. I hope it does well, and even if it doesn't score a top 3 I'm really glad you entered it because it had a great soothing effect on me. Probably the one I spent the most time looking at. Good Luck.

Good compliment of colors here, I'm really glad you chose to enter, it is lovely to the eyes. I can't find anything that would make it better, but I think you will have trouble beating out the competition, only because it is very less dramatic than some of the other shots. I know that seems to be against the "simplicity" part of the challenge, but even with simplicity you can get a dramatic effect to the shot, and I'm not sure if this one does that. However I do still have it in my top 5. Good Luck.

Lovely image, and one I have right up there in my top choices. Unfortunately it is coming across a little flat, and colorless in my moniter. Certainly not saying it is, because my moniter may be off a tad. But here is what happens when I vote, after I'm done, and it shows all the images I have voted on, on one screen, that is when I do my final bumping up, and bumping down, and this one has a tendency to fade behind the others. That is just one way I'm sure others dont do it the same. That said, and it is still in my top 5 of the challenge, I love its definition of simplicity. Another thing that may have made it more dramatic, and even further simple was a white backdrop, that could of been cool too. LOL, this is all being said by a guy who couldn't even come up with a composition for this challenge, so take it as a grain of sand, I still think you did a wonderful job. Good luck.

I would pick this to be a blue, but there are a couple others that will probably make a challenge for you. I love it, and it defines the challenge in a lovely way. Colors are really nice. Appears to be a very skilled composition. Great job. Good luck.

So it seems so expert. I can't believe that this is a 2014 shot, noway! Your intentions are well executed, and this photo lends a high grade to the photographer skill set, more than the photo itself. With that in mind, I'm not sure it wins the challenge, but it certainly wins my envy, and respect. Amazing execution.

Here is a quick idea of what I'm seeing. I don't know what distance I'm seeing this shot at. The sky is the only thing I have to reference this by, and we all know that can be decieving at times. I don't know if this is four inches high, or four miles high, or from plane, or from twelve inches off the ground. No mind it doesn't take away from the photo, actually for me it draws my interest into the photo instead. I'm in love with it, great job, and one of my top choices.
