Blue Wildebeestby take-twoComment by take-two: stone last!
Anyway, for clarity, this animal is not blue because he's lonely or anything, he is named a "Blue" Wildebeest.
Connochaetes taurinus - The blue wildebeest, also called the common wildebeest, white-bearded wildebeest or brindled gnu, is a large antelope and one of the two species of wildebeest.
Lesson learnt (by myself that is)... |

Blue Wildebeestby take-twoComment by Pangurban: What an amazing creature and how exciting to have seen it. I like the contrast between the pale grass and the dark trees. I think i'd have preferred to have had a bit more light on the head as the features are a little difficult to pick out. |

Blue Wildebeestby take-twoComment by bjoern: I must admit that nothing really conveys "blue" to me here. I googled, and there is indeed an animal with that name, but as I'm not familiar with it I have a hard time with this shot in relation to the challenge topic. |

Yes, a very simple technique, twisting the zoom lens while exposing. |
ahha .. i've done a bit of that .. i can take 20 photos and only be happy with one .. i reckon its not an easy thing to get right .. this is wonderful .. :) |
