** Greetings from the Critique Club **

When I look at this image the first thought that hits me is what a messy drawer of silverware this is. As others have pointed out - much too chaotic. There needs to be a point of interest - something the eye wants to look at. The fork just gets lost here.
Some of the challenges DPC presents us are hard. They can be a great way for us to force our minds to think outside the box, or to look beyond what we normally shoot. When shooting for DPC challenges, always try to shoot something you would like to have in your portfolio, or hanging on a wall somewhere. I myself found I was shooting just to enter the challenges - then I realized this was not what I came here for. I came to learn, and to grow. Shooting for yourself must come first. This just does not seem to be an image you would have shot for yourself - but something done in haste to make a challenge deadline.
Please don't take this harshly, but grow by it.

Quite a lot going on here! I think that a bright colored background or surface for the flatware would help the individual pieces stand out a little more.

this is chaos to the eye. even if you placed the fork there, there is too much going on, almost as if you simply opened up a drawer of spoons, stuck in a fork, and popped the shutter. it would appear that there is also a knife in there. if this doesn't do well, take the score as encouragement not to just point your camera at something that looks on topic, but instead, to take some time to plan out your shot.

This is quite muddled and seems like something you perhaps did in a hurry? Keep trying though :)
