Looks like the levels have been jacked up way too much--the natural texture would have made this photograph more interesting to me. *5* -balynch

It looks like this photograph may have been color inverted--takes away from the natural beauty and texture in my opinion. *5* -balynch

I like how the red and blue colors are inverted in the edges of the holes. Nice work! *8* -balynch

I really liked this picture when I saw the thumbnail but the full-size image seems to be over-sharpened. Either that, or there is powdered sugar on the pipe. But I do like the hammered-like texture on the right side pipe. *5* -balynch

This is a nice, crisp shot. I like how the knothole leads your eye down below. *6* -balynch

This photograph has nice color but the levels have been stretched to the point that the rust no longer looks lifelike. The natural beauty of the rust would have made a nice texture in and of itself. In spite of this, the composition and artistry is excellent. *5* -balynch

This is a nice macro shot but the shallow depth-of-field really hurts this picture. If you have a camera that allows you to change the aperture, a smaller f-stop (f8-f11) would have increased the DOF. If your camera does not have this feature, using more light might force the camera to pick a smaller aperture. This picture does, however, represent a great effort and a good idea for an entry. *4* -balynch

Would have been interesting, however, the lack of focus really detracts from this image. *4* -balynch
