Nice photo but too much flare.

I like the starkness of the subject against the background. Unfortunately I can't work out what the subject is and it doesn't really grab me as an abstract.

Beautiful colors and layering effect. It would be much stronger if the sun were more to one side instead of dead center.

Good idea. I'm not sure I like the blown out top. Otherwise, pretty unique and cool.

Not sure what I'm looking at but I'm trying to find something to focus on. Nothing appears in sharp focus.

Nice take and nice shot- I have to say the first thing I noticed was the crease at the bottom of the book. I also think it would be a better shot if the keys and the book were a little more white.

Perhaps a little to hot. Might consider reducing the brightness a bit

Hello from the Critique Club!

I can really relate to this choice... and I think most of us here on the site can...so it's a great idea for the challenge I think.

I really like the use of dof here. It tells a story and gets the point across very nicely.

For the window, I'm wondering if you could have shot the photo lower, bringing the camera down and ending your shot with just a bit of the window showing above your head, and it would show more of your legs and seating area as well? That might have depended on the position of your mirror, but I think it might have been a way around your trouble with the bright window.

I'm not sure how to get rid of that reflection in the camera lens. It is a bit distracting, but in my opinion I don't think it really takes away too much from the shot.

I think you did a good job and I look forward to seeing your challenge shots from here on. Hope this has been helpful!

Great idea - and nice use of DoF - --The camera in sharp focus works well as you can tell enough of the model with the softness. What doesn't work is the terrible light from the window.
